Home Theatre Project Deserved An Oscar!

At the end of 2008, we finished a theatre room with both trompe l'oeil drapery and suede panels. We were commissioned to take an extra bedroom and turn it into a home theatre unlike no other. It was a true collaborative effort with our client.

At the end of 2008, we finished a theatre room with both trompe l'oeil drapery and suede panels. We were commissioned to take an extra bedroom and turn it into a home theatre unlike no other. It was a true collaborative effort with our client.
We began by rendering red antique leather finish on all the walls to create the dramatic atmosphere. Then Jill worked her magic and rendered gorgeous crimson red draperies that created a beautiful frame to the large media screen. To top it off, she even applied real tassels to make the illusion complete. Over the antique leather finish, I rendered large faux suede panels
with a trompe l'oeil gold patina frame. The frames were designed with exact measurements to allow our client to display her collection of movie posters. The client was overwhelmed with the final product.

Ceilings, Ceilings and MORE Ceilings!
The "Fifth Wall' (as we like to call it), provides another opportunity for design and beauty with an element of surprise. Over the past few months we have seen a tremendous growth in this design feature. Using the depth of a darker hue to create a theatrical look or a warm gold and hand painted stencil finish -- we have created some stunning masterpieces! It's time to go from flat to fabulous!
