Project Spotlight: Accent Walls

Accent walls are an excellent opportunity to create drama and a feature point in a room. Over the past few weeks we worked with clients on several focus walls and thought we would share our insight on making an accent wall a spectacular wall.

First, you need to choose the appropriate wall to accent. Yes, there is a method to this. The wall that offers a natural point of interest or opportunity to frame an architectural element. For example, a fireplace wall, a wall with columns or a unique architectural designs you want to highlight or perhaps a wall with antique furniture.

Next, choosing the paint color and decorative finish. The possibilities can seem endless! This is your opportunity to push the envelope with color and finishes. There is a balance, to not overwelm the space, but don't be afraid to try something creative -- after all, it is just one (or sometimes two walls). Go for it!
