5th Annual Open House - FRIDAY, JANUARY 25
Join us for our 5th Annual Open House. Preview our 2013 specialty and artistic finishes in a gallery setting at The Clinton Inn in Tenafly, New Jersey. The event will be catered all day. This year we're introducing an entire new collection of finishes called "Subtly Sophisticated." Our popular "Design Ideas" section at the Open House will give unique insights on using different finishes and artistic moldings in specific spaces.

Skimstone floor - 1st coat

So what does a decorative artist do in the evenings after returning home from a job site? Paint, of course! (Well. that is, of course, after I play chauffeur to all my children's after school activities,
help with homework, make dinner, etc).

So, I wasn't able to get to my new studio floor until VERY late last night. I am using Skimstone -- a hybridized Portland Cement product to create art on the floor of my new studio space. This is the first of three layers. I am creating a very organic, abstract design. Just wait until the next photo is posted! :)
