Dining Room and Columns

We have been working on this project for the past couple of weeks. It began with an idea to infuse more texture and drama into this already beautifully decorated home. So we looked for the 'little' things -- well, one thing led to another and the client fell head over heels in love with the idea of transforming her dining room into a new oasis for family gatherings. Just in time for her birthday --- what a well deserved gift to a hard working mom!

We began by applying a three tone glaze on the walls and then tackled the ceiling. We rendered a beautiful tone on tone glaze on the entire ceiling with a special multi-layer finish around the ceiling border with Antique Bronze and golds. Next we applied a custom stencil in the center of the dining room and used golds and bronze paints to really make it sing! In the family room, we rendered a marble finish on the columns and a sophisticated glaze on the molding. We used all water based acrylics and rendered true faux columns in a Yellow Sienna Marble style.
