Beautiful ceiling and medallion

Good morning. It has taken me a few days to post the progress of this job. I took pictures every day, but with ceiling work, it is quite exhausting and so Jill and I practically feel into bed each night.

This is at the home of one of our client's from a couple of years ago. We love returning to our client's home to add more artistic touches! It is exciting to see how they are using the rooms we worked in before.

A couple of years ago we completed this client's dining room and family room (see photos on our website at http://www.fauxtimedesign.com/). Now she decided to look up --- the 5th wall! So, after the installation of a beautiful custom medallion, we applied an antique and patina finish that really made a statement.

It really makes a statement now. We custom mixed the glazes and metallics to work seamlessly with the beautiful chandelier.

Our client loves to entertain. In the foyer, she wanted to make a visual statement from the moment guests entered. So, again, we said, 'let's go up!' We used a custom cut Modello stencil and handpainted the details using an acrylic plaster called Lusterstone. We added a little metallic glitz with metallic paints. It came out gorgeous!

First step is to remove the light fixture, adhere the stencil to the ceiling and apply the Lusterstone.

Next, Jill applies metallic highlights. Everyone needs a little bling!
