Fast forward, three months later, we are wrapping up work throughout the home. This estate now showcases some of our finest designer finishes way beyond one bathroom. Early in the planning process, the client's wife told me she had seen a home during their real estate search that had decorative finishing throughout. She wanted her own 'Museum Home.' One of the many times I would LOVE to thank a fellow decorative artist!
Next, we executed several unique finishes in three of the bathrooms including an updated striped finish, a fabulous Strie to match imported glass tiles and one of our most popular finishes introduced at our 2012 Open House, the "Glass Menagerie" -- a shimmering finish with beautiful metallic glazes and a transparent topcoat with crushed glass beads.
In the home office, we used a specialty plaster to create the look of authentic grasscloth wallpaper-- it even fooled one of our interior designers who dropped by! The dining room and music rooms were our favorite finishes. We rendered the "Shimmer and Lace" finish in the dining room. This finish was introduced at our 2012 Open House as part of our Designer Line and we were so excited this client wanted to use it almost immediately! It is absolutely stunning --- beginning with a metallic foil finish underneath a pattern created with lace and plaster. Exquisite!
We adorned the walls in the music room with more than 600 Swarovski crystals and a contemporary all encompassing stencil design to create a luxurious background. A true symphony of elegance.
This project was many projects in one. We were thrilled to be able to use new extravagant finishes that are able to reflect the depth and myriad of current and cutting edge faux finishes. What a gift, to be able to give a client what they want and allow them to be ahead of the trend. Making these designs truly timeless.
